During a recent interview with Louder Sound, Within Temptation frontwoman Sharon Den Adel shared her thoughts about artificial intelligence and admitted to have benefited from it for the band’s new album, ‘Bleed Out.’ While discussing about the use of AI, the rocker revealed where the band used AI on the record:
“We haven’t used AI at all when it comes to the music, but we used it a little for visualising things like the album cover and videos.”
The rocker reffered to it as an opportunity to express what they want people to see. She explained:
“It’s an opportunity to find new methods of creativity. We’ve still used a designer for our cover so we’re not cutting out people, but we’ve used this technology to better express what we wanted and make it easier for them.”
So, it’s evident that there were no use of AI during the creation of the songs, although we’re not sure what their thoughts would be about it. Many musicians oppose to the idea of using AI in the creation of songs, some of which are M. Shadows, Sting, Joe Bonamassa and Kelly Hanson.
‘Bleed Out’ is scheduled to drop on October 20. The track with the same title is now out with the music video and it offers dark elements with the help of AI. Below, you can watch the music video.
