Marilyn Manson has been fined $1,200 and sentenced to 20 hours of community service over an incident involving a videographer a Gilford, NH show.

The incident took place on August 19, 2019 at the Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion when Manson spat on the videographer and allegedly blew snot on her throughout the course of the night. Manson was charged with two counts of misdemeanor simple assault charges at the time, though Manson's lawyers argued in 2021 that contact with bodily fluids during a show was all part of the gig.

"The defendant’s performance for the past twenty years are well known to include shocking and evocative antics similar to those that occurred here. The alleged victim consented to exposing herself to potential contact with sweat, saliva and phlegm in close quarters."

The judge presiding over the case ultimately disagreed with those claims, and Manson accepted the above plea deal where he pled no contest to one of the two charged. The second charge was dropped. An entry of no contest means that a defendant does not plead or admit guilt. WMUR further reports that a victim's advocate read the following victim-impact statement during the case.

"For me, I’m a professional person and I’ve been in this industry for 30 years. I’ve worked for a lot of companies, and in all the years I’ve worked with people, I’ve never been humiliated or treated like I was by this defendant. For him to spit on me and blow his nose on me was the most disgusting thing a human being has ever done. I understand this was not a big criminal charge to begin with, but I was hoping that the defendant would receive a sentence that would make him think twice before doing something like this again."

Footage of the court hearing can be found below.
