Seventh Wonder, the eminent Swedish Progressive Metal band, will re-release their first four studio album on 15 September 2023 via Frontiers Music Srl. Originally released via Lion Music, Become, Waiting In The Wings, Mercy Falls, and The Great Escape have long been out of print.

“We are super happy to share this news with you,” band co-founder/bassist Andreas Blomqvist said. “Many of our fans have been awaiting the return of our previous albums to streaming platforms, and that is now happening. While having them available on vinyl is really cool and, again, something many have been asking about.

“It was a lot of fun to sit down and write the liner notes for the CDs, so be sure to check these out too for some previously untold stories.”

Seventh Wonder was founded by Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvendahl, and drummer Johnny Sandin in 2000. Soon after, keyboardist Andreas ‘Kyrt’ Söderin joined the group, solidifying their musical direction, which had already gravitated towards the realm of Progressive Metal.

Vocalist Andi Kravljaca became a member before the highly acclaimed release of their debut album, Become, in 2005. However, he departed just before its full release, making way for Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, ex-Vindictiv) to assume the vocal duties.

The band’s second album, Waiting In The Wings, released in 2006, showcased a remarkable advancement in their musical prowess, garnering stellar reviews and enthusiastic praise from fans. This elevated them to a position of prominence, establishing themselves as a formidable presence in the music scene.

In the subsequent year, Seventh Wonder embarked on an extensive tour throughout northern Europe, sharing stages with renowned acts like Queensrÿche, Testament, and Redemption.

In 2008, Seventh Wonder released Mercy Falls, a highly lauded masterpiece that expanded their reach to new territories, including Italy. They diligently maintained an active promotional touring schedule to support the album’s success. Two years later, The Great Escape saw the band making their debut appearance in the United States at the ProgPower Festival.

Having earned a well-deserved reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the Progressive Metal domain, fans can rejoice as these albums will be available on vinyl for the very first time.
