Desertfest New York 2023 is set to be an electrifying celebration of all things stoner rock and Heavy Metal, held in the heart of the concrete jungle. This year the festival is held between 14-16 September, with the pre-party sold out already.
The impressive Colour Haze play a set at Knockdown Center on Saturday after an appearance at the Friday pre-show at Saint Vitus Bar. Colour Haze promises no repeats at their two sets over the weekend, and New York will be the band’s only U.S. performance. “We even intend to rework the 22-minute epic Peace, Brothers & Sisters, which we haven’t been playing since 2018 for the show at Saint Vitus,” frontman Stefan Koglek said.
Featuring a lineup with some of the most influential bands in the genre, Desertfest New York offers a diverse and unforgettable experience for fans of heavy music.
Conan, Mondo Generator and Djunah were recently added to complete a lineup that already includes Godflesh, Monster Magnet, The Melvins, Boris, Truckfighters, 1000mods and Ecstatic Vision.
From the sludgy depths of doom Metal to the psychedelic explorations of stoner rock, Desertfest New York 2023 will showcase the full spectrum of heavy music, leaving no ear unturned.
Stage splits and day tickets for the festival are now on sale, where the eager-eyed will notice that an additional third stage, The Ruins, will be added to the Knockdown Center on Saturday, 16th September, for the first time.
