Dirty Honey returned to Byron Bay, Australia, in April 2023 to record their sophomore album, Can’t Find The Brakes. The first single, Won’t Take Me Alive, will be released on 7 July 2023. The new track is enticingly described as a take-no-prisoners-balls-out rocker.
Dirty Honey hit the UK in January 2023, with the first night of the tour in Norwich. MetalTalk were there, and with the tour sold out, we said, make no mistake, Dirty Honey are going to be huge.
Back then, Dirty Honey had demos and completed songs that John Notto told us they are planning on recording. “It’s going to be different, but not too different,” he said. “I think for me, it’s important to have some growth. I wouldn’t be as excited, maybe, to just make another LP-sounding record. I don’t want to alienate anyone. I’m not nervous to change.”
That the band have had a number of months gigging and working on the material, you would bet that they entered the studio in a tight and impressive form. The feedback across Europe has been very impressive indeed.
Once again with producer Nick DiDia (Rage Against The Machine, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots), you can but imagine the excitement in the MetalTalk office as we eagerly await Can’t Find The Brakes.
Dirty Honey play London with Guns N’ Roses on 30 June, and will launch the first leg of their 2023-24 world tour in the U.S. in September, supporting Guns N’ Roses, and then roll into headline dates in October/November/December.
