Morbid Angel cut their April 21 set in Tampa, FL short after guitarist Trey Azagthoth collapsed on stage. Morbid Angel played six songs before Azagthoth, and then attempted to play one more after returning to the stage.

"I think we're gonna call it a night, man," said Morbid Angel bassist and vocalist Steve Tucker to the crowd. "Without the leader… I apologize. I love all you motherfuckers. Thank you for coming. Hopefully Trey is all right. We'll see you all again real soon, man. You have a good fucking night."

Azagthoth's mother has since given fans an update on her Facebook page, saying Azagthoth was dehydrated and suffering from a back issue related to slipping on the touring bus stairs. Morbid Angel has not yet issued a statement on Azagthoth, but we wish him well.

"I would like to say thank you for all of your well wishes for my son, Trey. As it appears, Trey was totally dehydrated. His back issue was due to him slipping while going down the stairs of the bus and hit his back on one of the stairs. They have decided to go ahead and have a show tonight And I am just hoping and praying that all goes well.

"I had a message from Dan [Vadim Von, Morbid Angel guitarist], he said that Trey got rest last night and was up and around and seem to be ready. I will continue to watch anything I can find about tonight. When he returns home tomorrow, I know he'll need rest, but also needs to get some medical help.

"Again, thank you so much for your concern. He loves his fans."

This current Morbid Angel tour has been a bit of a disaster, to say the last. The band and their opening acts suffered through a natural disaster in Illinois that left one dead and numerous injured, while Revocation frontman Dave Davidson broke his hand and was left unable to play guitar for the remainder of the tour.
