The Hollywood Stars

Forty years after The Hollywood Stars “called it quits”, the defining lineup joined together to play a one-off benefit concert at The Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles on 11 November 2018. Now, in 2023, the band are officially back and will release their new EP, Still Around, on 3 February 2023 via Golden Robot Records.

The Holywood Stars were the band that gave Kiss King Of The Night Time World and Escape to Alice Cooper. The band made their debut, headlining the Whisky A Go Go over two nights, 17/18 December 1973. Over the next year, they would become one of the top-drawing acts at the Whisky.

The band were signed to Columbia Records one month after their first live gig, although it would be another 39 years before the album would see the light of day. MetalTalk covered their incredible story here.

With support bands such as Van Halen, The Runaways, The Knack, and Quiet Riot, The Holywood Stars were one of the biggest draws in Hollywood but never reached the level their pedigree and reputation suggested would only be a matter of time.

The new EP contains the songs If It Wasn’t For The Night, Will The Lights Go On Again, The Bottom and Still Around and can be pre-ordered from https://bfan.link/still-around.
