With a 2023 touring slate that sees the masked nine of Slipknot mounting a far-reaching international campaign, the band continue increasing the covered territory of their festival banner in Knotfest. In the new year already, Slipknot is set to further cement their rank as global ambassadors of Heavy Culture with highly-anticipated Knotfest plays in both Australia and Japan in the first half of 2023.

Now, Slipknot have bolstered their worldwide blitz with the announcement of the inaugural edition of Knotfest Italy. Confirmed for June 25 at Bologna Arena Parco Nord, the first-ever Knotfest Italy intends to make a lasting impression with a spectacular bill feature true heavyweights of their respective genres.

Among the supporting artists confirmed for the first-ever Knotfest Italy include UK arena juggernauts, Architects who will be out in support of their most recent studio success, The Classic Symptoms Of A Broken Spirit. Viking metal overlords Amon Amarth will lead the charge of The Great Heathen Army as they pull up oar in Bologna. Metalcore titans I, Prevail will join the spectacle performing selections from their most recent offering, True Power.

Making a place at the table for the next generation of genre elite, Knotfest Italy will also welcome skyrocketing deathcore champions Lorna Shore to the extended festival family. The band’s lauded 2022 LP Pain Remains has propelled the Jersey collective to become one of extreme music’s most buzzworthy outfits. The turbo-charged Texans of Nothing More will also join the festivities, showcasing cuts from their hailed 2022 album, Spirits. Including a strong regional presence on the bill, Italian progressive metalcore standouts Destrage round out the first batch of confirmed acts on the bolstered bill.

As for Slipknot, the band will continue their international campaign touching down in various corners of the globe in support of their lauded 2022 full length, The End, So Far. Reiterating their rank as heavy culture’s most decorated champions, Slipknot functions as both headliner and curator of a festival that has become synonymous with extreme music, art and community.
