Every music fan loves a great bootleg release, right?
Sure, officially issued studio and live LPs are awesome, but there’s something inherently cooler and more illuminating about hearing demos, alternative versions, concerts and wholly abandoned tracks that bands and/or labels didn’t initially put out (or sanction).
That’s doubly true when fans are able to trade and bond over those recordings, as such exchanges add to the mystique and sense of community surrounding our favorite acts.
