Johan Hegg of Amon Amarth is one hell of a vocalist… but whose vocalist does he listen to in awe? During an interview with Metal Injection, Hegg said it's hard to choose a few "underrated" vocalists as his favorites because it's such a nebulous idea. Though if he absolutely had to pick, he's got two in mind – JB Christoffersson of Grand Magus and A.A. Nemtheanga of Primordial.

"Naming an unknown great vocalist, that's always difficult because there are so many good vocalists out there and they're all kinda known at some level, right? One vocalist that deserves a lot more attention and a lot more respect, and I think the band as well, is JB from Grand Magus. He's got such an amazing rock and roll voice. He's a great singer, Grand Magus is a great heavy metal band, and he has such an amazing range. I love his style of singing. He's a great singer."

"Also, Primordial. Alan from Primordial is also… he's got such intensity, especially live. Such an intensity when he sings. I love Primordial and I love his singing as well. There are so many great vocalists out there."
