Nordoff Robbins, the largest UK music therapy charity, have announced that their Carol Service is returning for 2022 at 7 PM on Tuesday, December 13 at St Luke’s Church in Chelsea (SW3 6NH).
A message states: "We are very excited to announce that legendary rock band The Who will be this year’s headline performance! The incredible Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will entertain us with an acoustic set on our festive evening.
"We hope you will join us for a magical evening of traditional Christmas carols, celebrity readings and performances from musical superstars. If this wasn’t enough, our incredibly talented music therapists will be entertaining us outside the church with a performance!
"Tickets are £55 and include mince pies, mulled wine and (of course!) lots of singing. Plus, all of the money we raise together will go towards supporting those who need it most through the power of music therapy."
Says Roger Daltrey: "“What Nordoff Robbins does with music makes such a positive change to people’s lives which is why we’re supporting them at this very special Christmas service. Music is our shared language and is incredibly powerful, and music therapy can reconnect people who may otherwise feel isolated or disconnected from the world – whether a young person with autism, a person living with dementia, or somebody rebuilding their lives after an accident.”
