A “fucked” Aussie dollar and spiralling tour costs have forced Aussie rockers Airbourne to shorten their remaining European dates. England, Scotland and Netherlands dates have moved to summer 2023, and the Inverness date has been cancelled.
“It is with extreme disappointment that we are having to make some amends on our upcoming European tour,” the band said. “The fucked Aussie dollar, along with spiralling touring costs, mean we are forced to shorten the period. Most of the tour remains unaffected, but we will no longer be able to visit England, Scotland or Holland on this trip.
“Please note, we are NOT CANCELLING THESE SHOWS but rescheduling them to the Summer of 2023.”
The show affected are:
26 November 2022 – Glasgow
This show is now at Queen Margaret Union on 31 July 2023.
19 December 2022 – Tilburg
This show is at Tilburg 013 on 28 June 2023.
21 Deceber 2022 – Manchester
This show is now at Manchester Albert Hall on 26 July 2023.
22 December 2022 – London
This show will be at the Kentish Town Forum on 27 July 2023.
“Due to some of the venue’s availabilities, we have had to make some changes to one or two of the rooms on the dates, but all tickets remain valid for the same city shows. The only show we have been unable to find a solution for is Inverness, as the venue will be closing down in February, and our sincere apologies to these rockers in the far north.
Refunds for this show will be available from the point of purchase.”
Summer 2022 was good for the band, with a fantastic night in Norwich and a triumphant set at Hellfest among the MetalTalk highlights.
