PEPPER KEENAN Says CORROSION OF CONFORMITY Will Work On A New Album This Winter

Corrosion of Conformity singer-guitarist Pepper Keenan was recently asked by Guitar World if there was any new material on the way. Corrosion of Conformity haven't released any new music since 2018's mighty fine No Cross, No Crown LP, yet that seems to be changing, as Keenan himself affirmed when asked about a new record.

"Yes. We're doing this next [U.S.] tour [in November], and then we're going to start putting the pieces together and get our heads in 'studio land', and just focus on that," said Keenan.

"The way C.O.C. does it, if it ain't right, it's wrong," Pepper continued. "We put our energy into it and try to create something that is up to our standards and try to push things as hard as we can in our world."

Awesome as No Cross, No Crown is, its bittersweet for Keenan, as it was the last album Corrosion of Conformity made with late drummer Reed Mullin. "It was a really fun experience to do and the last thing we did with, unfortunately. So, it holds a special place in my heart."

Corrosion Of Conformity guitarist Woody Weatherman said back in 2019 that "No Cross No Crown came out in January [2018], so it's been out a year and a half. We're still on the road, and we've still got a little ways to go. But we're starting to ponder about the next one; we're thinking about it."

Hey, if it ain't right, it's wrong. I like that as mantra, actually. Regardless, it's just nice to see a new record is fresh on the minds of the lads. In the meantime, Corrosion Of ConformitySpirit Adrift, and The Native Howl will hit the road, bringing you all crunchy riffs you'll ever need this November. Get the dates below.
