GALLÓGLAIGH – Early ‘90s Styled Black Metal Project Launches Luaith Album

Born out of desperation from the great plague of 2020, Gallóglaigh’s founder JP created the band out of scratch riffs. Never one to rest, he stepped up his game from the project’s first album to really put the second effort, Luaith, on a different level. Now, he is armed with Gaerea’s Diogo Mota as session drummer and new but visceral vocalist Beleth, in addition to a desire to bring back the old school black metal sound but with a modern approach.

Inspired by legends such as Mayhem and newer bands like Mgla, Luaith is an album that captures the mystique and energy of the old ways but presents them in a more dynamic fashion by not being afraid to step outside the box.  From classic approaches like blistering tremolo and demonic speed to passages that aren’t afraid to present melody among the twists and turns, Luaith is an album that will appeal to the old school die-hards but also be appeasing to those new to the genre or wanting more from their blackened arts.

Lineup:

JP - Guitars, Bass, Keyboards
Beleth - Vocals
Diogo Mota - Drums (session)
