MR. GnG Releases First Single "Goodbye Mr. GnG"; Music Video

Mr. GnG, a prog rock/hard rock band hailing from France and India, has released its first-ever single, "Goodbye, Mr. GnG", taken from their upcoming EPonymous EP.

The music video for "Goodbye, Mr. GnG" highlights the band's fascination with '80s aesthetics and puts those aesthetics in a modern light. The song is a relentless prog rock tune with a rollercoaster of dynamic changes in rhythm and feel. It displays a wide range of the band’s vocal, instrumental, and songwriting talents - ranging from growls to choral harmonies, funky grooves to odd time signatures, and ethereal ambient passages to barn-burning riffage.

"Goodbye Mr. GnG" is out now, everywhere.

Describing their music as "tenacious progressive rock with a call-back to the ’80s", Mr. GnG is determined to make a mark on the prog landscape. Mr. GnG is an international progressive rock/hard rock band based in India and France.

The band started in June 2021 as a two-piece outfit comprising Ishan Dave on vocals/guitars/bass and Abhilash Sreekumar on backing vocals/keyboards/drums. Having played together in college in the now-defunct band ‘Realm of Shadows’, they were very familiar with each other’s musical tastes and performance styles. They began a spontaneous online collaboration in the wake of the COVID Lockdown in 2021 - this eventually blossomed into their debut EP, EPonymous.

The duo firmly believes they were born 15 years too late as their musical and lifestyle preferences surround 80’s aesthetics such as Guitars, Girls, Gold, Godzilla, George Michael, and all the Glory that comes with God and the rockstar deal. The name “Mr. GnG” personifies these ideals as influences and future goals. While being greatly influenced by 80’s aesthetics, the band still manages to sound fresh and resonate with modern rock/metal fans. Fans should keep an eye on Mr. GnG’s upcoming release, EPonymous, as well as their fiery ambitions of taking on the rock scene by storm.

"Goodbye Mr. GnG" was recorded by Daidipya Sheth at Compassbox Studios in India and was mixed and mastered by Thejus Nair at Eleven Gauge Recordings.

Mr. GnG lineup:
