Who remembers Adam Sandler's cinematic masterpiece Little Nicky? C'mon, don't be shy, you know you do. And if you don't, please seek out this this seminal work of art as soon as humanly possible. But, that's just the movie—do you know what other amazing events circulated around this Sandler classic? A jam with the Deftones.

Yes, as part of the film's promotion, MTV organized a special event where Sandler teamed up with members of Deftones and Incubus to perform the Deftones, song “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away).” If you're wondering why the hell this happened, allow me to elaborate. Deftones, along with Linkin Park and Disturbed, were featured on the Little Nicky soundtrack, along with a bunch of other nü-metal gems of the period.

"Be Quiet and Drive," says Sandler holding an acoustic guitar. "Great song and it's on the Little Nicky soundtrack. You guys wanna play it, right?"

"Yeah, you're gonna play it with us," Deftones frontman Chino Moreno slyly replies.

"I'm gonna play it with you and I'm gonna stay out of your way as much as I can," says a clearly very stoned Sandler, before launching into an acoustic version of the Deftones classic on which—mercifully—Moreno handles all vocal duties.

You can check out the performance below. Also featured are members of P.OD. who perform a rendition of the Steve Miller Band's classic rock staple, "The Joker," along with Sandler. Sure, it's a little nutty, and definitely of the times, but it ages well.

Of course, Sandler is not the first actor to sing the praises of Deftones. Just recently, Willow—the heavy metal artist and daughter of actor Will Smith—spoke of her desire to collaborate with Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno. "I would love to sing with Chino Moreno from Deftones," Willow told Kerrang! "He's so amazing."

Yes, Willow, he absolutely is. But if we're going to talk about amazing, let us end where we began: with the most moving and gripping motion picture of the 20th century, Little Nicky.
