Nita Strauss recently joined a conversation with 101 WRIF and made statements about her departure from Alice Cooper and transition to Demi Lovato’s touring band while commenting on her musical style.

The guitarist has recently been working on her solo projects and is on the road for Demi Lovato’s Holy Fvck tour. Although she’s busy with other projects, it looks like she continues receiving questions about her former bandmate Alice Cooper. Her explanations and statements have become quite repetitive since Nita often tries to stress that there is no drama and that her breakup with the band was completely smooth.

She has repeatedly explained that she had absolutely no problems with Alice Cooper, and he was very supportive throughout the process. The guitarist once revealed that her fan’s reactions during her departure had tired her out more than she expected since she experienced a significant backlash for leaving Alice Cooper.

In her last interview with 101 WRIF, she was once again asked about her departure from the band, and she said it wasn’t difficult at all to part ways with Cooper and begin to work with Demi Lovato. Nita said that after breaking up with Alice Cooper, she didn’t have to find a different sound because people knew how she sounded, and no one asked her to change.

Stating that her greatest chance was encountering opportunities that did not expect her to change herself, the rocker said all she had to do was assess the context and find a tone that suited it.

The guitarist stated that she sounded different with Alice Cooper and that her personal guitar style is better reflected in her solo works. She explained that she sounds different in every collaboration, as she tries to capture the tone that suits the people she plays with. She also revealed that her style was more compatible with Demi Lovato’s music.

Nita Strauss’ statements about her musical style read:

It wasn’t really a difficult transition at all. I think the biggest change for me was just in every hired gun position, you have to find your voice in that style of music. So I get really lucky that I get hired in gigs and opportunities that they’re like, hey, we want Nita. So no one’s asking me to completely change my style or change how I play. I’m just always figuring out what does need to sound like in this context.

So if you listen to my solo music, this is pure, unadulterated me. That’s what I sound like as a guitar player. If you listen to what I played in Alice Cooper, it’s very different. It’s very different to my solo music. And that’s because that’s the Alice Cooper version of Nina. And now if you come and see a Demi Lovato show, you’re going to hear a different version because this is what fits in with the music.

And I would venture to say that the solos I’m playing in Demi’s show are actually a little closer to my personal style than what I was playing with Alice because I wasn’t really trying to fit in that more I don’t have to fit in that more classic rock pentatonic box now. I can play more modern, I can do sweeps and tapping and all that kind of stuff. And it fits in really nicely with the way the song sounds.”
