Torche is now streaming their surprise new single "It Never Began" from what the band is dubbing an "upcoming double single release." The single was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Torche guitarist Jonathan Nuñez at Sound Artillery Studio and features artwork from Dick Lucas (Subhumans, Culture Shock, Citizen Fish). Download the single, as well as the two kickass live albums Torche put out in 2020, here on their Bandcamp.
Torche will hit the road starting September 16 with Meshuggah. The tour seems to be their final one with founding vocalist and guitarist Steve Brooks, though that post about his departure has since been deleted from Instagram (alongside Brooks' entire Instagram account).
"We're a few months away from the last tour I'm doing with Torche," said Brooks in the now-disappeared post. "We've been so very lucky and went far beyond what I imagined. I just don't have it in me to keep this going living on opposite sides of the country. Much love to my band members and everyone that supported us these 18 years! See y'all this Sept/Oct."
So who knows. Either way, go get your hearing destroyed by Torche live at one of the dates below and enjoy "It Never Began."
