In a recent interview with Kyle Meredith, Greta Van Fleet bassist Sam Kiszka shared his thoughts about touring with one of the most influential bands of all time Metallica.

Greta Van Fleet has been on the road for some time to support their latest album ‘The Battle at Garden’s Gate.’ The band’s tour kicked off on March 10 in Kalamazoo and will end on November 12 in Sacramento. Although some dates were postponed due to band members’ health emergencies, the band has managed to continue the tour after some rest for their fans.

Between their tour and health emergencies, Greta Van Fleet was able to support Metallica again during their stadium shows. They had previously supported Metallica in February for one of their Las Vegas shows. When Metallica returned to the US for their two stadium shows, Greta Van Fleet was their special guest. The bands played at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York, and PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this past August.

Sam Kiszka said they have always wanted to be a band that can perform consistently at their highest level. Still, he understands that the show will be grand when Metallica comes on the stage. He added that in his eyes, Metallica is the most influential band in the world as far as their career goes since they have been doing this for over 40 years.

Kiszka’s words about Metallica:

“It’s tough to say. We always want to get up there and perform and create this wild happening, but when we’re with Metallica, you know their shows are pretty big. They’re one of the most substantial bands in the entire world, arguably the most as far as career goes.”
