Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne spoke to the Guardian and explained why he decided to leave the U.S. and move back to the U.K. while referring to his current health condition.
The 73-year-old Black Sabbath icon Ozzy Osbourne has been dealing with serious health problems lately. Ozzy suffered several injuries while quad-biking in 2003, and his injuries worsened after a fall in 2019 that necessitated the placement of 15 screws in his spine. This operation left him with nerve damage and caused the rock star to experience mobility issues.
The artist announced that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2020. However, Osbourne noted that Parkinson’s did not interfere with his stage performance as he has been living and performing with it. However, the various health scares he had forced Ozzy to cancel his 2020 North American tour.
He underwent a life-altering operation in June 2022 and went into recovery at home after this significant neck surgery. Only two months later, the heavy metal legend performed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. While her husband was dealing with health problems, Sharon Osbourne faced racism accusations last year and had different incidents related to the issue.
Ozzy Osbourne, who has been dealing with various issues recently, stated in an interview with the Guardian that he wanted to leave the U.S. He said that his concerns about the recent mass shootings in the country had a significant impact on this decision. Moreover, he added that he did not want to die in America but to return to his own country and be buried there. He said that if his wife wanted to go somewhere else, he could keep up with her, but in the end, he wanted to return home.

“Everything’s f*cking ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert. It’s f*cking crazy.
And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in fucking Forest Lawn. I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’d go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”
