Drummer Nick Mason recently posted a tweet to update his fans and express details on his forthcoming shows with Saucerful Of Secrets.

Nick Mason formed Saucerful Of Secrets in 2018 to perform Pink Floyd’s early musical efforts. The band consists of Mason, Guy Pratt, Dom Beken, Gary Kemp, and Lee Harris. With Saucerful Of Secrets, the drummer aims to introduce Floyd’s early material to a broader audience.

Saucerful Of Secrets made its debut in May 2018 at Dingwalls, London. They then embarked on a European Tour in September 2018 before hitting the road for a North American Tour in 2019. Although the band announced a 2020 European tour, it was postponed due to the pandemic. So, it took place in April 2022, while the second North American tour was postponed from January 2022 to September.

In a recent tweet, Saucerful Of Secrets excited their fans about the tour and posted a video of Nick Mason explaining how the oil projections are created. Before showing a quick demonstration, Mason explained that they do the shows in the old way, but some still believe it’s all on video.

Saucerful Of Secrets’ tweet read:

“With just one month to go until Nick’s Saucerful Of Secrets start The Echoes Tour of the US and Canada, here’s a look at how the oil projections are created. See the projections yourself, live, by joining the band on the upcoming dates! All the info is at Saucerful Of Secrets’ official website.”

In the video, Nick Mason said the following:

“We thought it would be a nice idea to explain a little bit more about one element of our lighting show. We have Rachel, queen of the oil slides, to demonstrate how we do it because I think some people think it’s all on video, and we wind it up and show it off. But we actually do it in the old way so that it’s different, new, and interesting every time on a good day.”
