Sammy Hagar recently joined uDiscover Music for an interview and said it is hard for him to reveal his opinions about The Circle’s new album.

Although he is mainly known for his tenure in Van Halen, Sammy Hagar’s current projects are Chickenfoot and the Circle. He formed the Circle in 2014 along with Michael Anthony, Waboritas’ Vic Johnson, and Jason Bonham. Together, they played Hagar’s solo hits and songs by Montrose, Van Halen, Chickenfoot, and Led Zeppelin.

As Hagar focused on the Circle, he put Chickenfoot on hiatus. They began touring in 2014 and released a live album, ‘At Your Service,’ in May 2015. In August 2015, they discussed making a studio album as a follow-up to ‘At Your Service.’ Four years later, on May 10, 2019, the Circle released the debut album ‘Space Between.’

As the coronavirus pandemic took over the world in 2019, recording an album became a challenging thing to do. However, the Red Rocker and the Circle made virtual jam sessions during the quarantine and included them in their album titled ‘Lockdown 2020.’ Released on January 8, 2021, the album featured covers from rock legends like Bowie, AC/DC, and the Who.

The Circle is now set to release a new record titled ‘Crazy Times,’ and they recently shared a song from the album titled ‘Pump It Up.’ Speaking to uDiscover Music, Hagar stated that it’s hard for him to talk about the album passionately without sounding like he’s trying to hype it. He then said he’s proud of the record and can’t believe how they were able to record it.

Speaking to uDiscover Music, Sammy Hagar said the following about ‘Crazy Times’:

“It’s hard for me to talk about this album with as much passion as I feel without sounding like I’m hyping it or bragging about it or trying to, you know, get people to buy it. I love this f*cking record. I mean, I don’t even know how the hell we made it because we’ve been together for almost ten years, but we’ve only recorded once before. But yeah, we did it. I think this song and this record hold up. I’m very proud of it.
