Bloodstock continues to celebrate and elevate the amazing work of Sylvia Lancaster OBE, the pioneering fundraiser and educator who established The Sophie Lancaster Foundation, with Sunday finding plenty of festival fans wearing pink.
At Sylvia’s funeral earlier this year, she had requested that everyone attending wear something pink, as this was her favourite colour, and as you can see from MetalTalk photographer John Inglis, the Heavy Metal community has not disappointed.
Throughout the weekend, The Sophie Lancaster Foundation stand in the arena has been talking of their truly phenomenal work, which has been life-changing for many in alternative subcultures. They are also very happy to accept supporting donations.
To continue with the fundraising drive, Bloodstock has commissioned a special The Sophie Lancaster Foundation drum skin, which will be signed by all the Sophie Stage headline bands across the festival weekend.
The exclusive drum skin will be raffled at the festival, with all funds going to the Foundation. Raffle tickets are available at the Sophie Lancaster Foundation stand, with the draw taking place at 5 pm on Sunday.
