Dave Mustaine announced in a recent Instagram post that a new song from Megadeth’s forthcoming album, titled ‘Night Stalkers’ featuring Ice-T, is out now.
Like many other bands in the history of music, Megadeth have experienced several lineup changes over the years. Although the founder of the band, Mustaine, decided to disband the group after he suffered an arm injury, they soon reunited and kept performing together.
The band experienced some turmoil during David Ellefson’s scandal related to accusations of sexual misconduct. The band had been recording their forthcoming album titled ‘The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead!’ when the news broke out. Mustaine decided to fire Ellefson to protect the band’s reputation. The band announced that they had hired James LoMenzo as a permanent bassist. LoMenzo replaced David Ellefson and started recording with the band for the release of the anticipated new album.
The announcement of the second single, titled ‘Night Stalkers‘ came from Mustaine himself on Instagram. Iconic rapper Ice-T also makes a guest appearance on the band’s new track. Mustaine announced that the fans can listen to and watch the world premiere of the new song on Megadeth’s website. He also added that their highly-anticipated album ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!’ will be released on September 2, 2022.
Dave Mustaine’s IG post read:
“‘Night Stalkers: Chapter II‘ has arrived. Listen and watch the world premiere (featuring Ice-T) now at Megadeth.com. New album ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead!’ arrives September 2. Link in bio to watch and pre-order.”
