LAMB OF GOD Drummer ART CRUZ To Sit In With THE 8G BAND Next Week On Late Night With Seth Meyers

Gearing up for the Omens album release in October and a massive fall tour, Lamb Of God drummer Art Cruz is set to fill the drum seat with the 8G Band, July 25 to 28, on Late Night with Seth Meyers on the NBC Network.

Art Cruz, exclaims "Mind blown" when presented with the opportunity to join the ranks of the legendary roster of 8G Band's guest drummers. He adds, "Thankful for the opportunity."

Late Night with Seth Meyers' 8G Band is led by acclaimed comedian/musician Fred Armisen. Since 2015, the show has welcomed the best drummers on the planet with many representing from the hard rock metal world: Josh Freese (NIN, A Perfect Circle), Charlie Benante (Anthrax), Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden), Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam), Mario Duplantier (Gojira), Dave Lombardo (Testament, ex-Slayer), John Tempesta (The Cult), Brann Dailor (Mastodon)  and Gene Hoglan (Dark Angel, ex-Slayer, ex-Testament), among many others, have all sat on the throne.

Fellow drummer, Eric Leiderman, Producer of Late Night with Seth Meyers, shares “Always love to have a metal drummer sitting in with the 8G Band and even better when it’s from one of my personal favorites - the mighty LOG.”

Lamb Of God recently unleashed “Nevermore”, the first single and music video from Omens. The forthcoming full-length from the Grammy-nominated metal titans is due October 7 via Epic Records.

“Nevermore” is available everywhere for download and streaming. Watch the music video below.

Lamb Of God follows 2020’s #1 Hard Rock Album with a vicious new testament. Riding high on a creative renaissance, the Grammy-nominated goliath returns with the gloriously unhinged Omens, produced by longtime collaborator Josh Wilbur (Korn, Megadeth).

Omens is a furious entry in the Lamb Of God catalog, perhaps their angriest album yet. "The world is crazy and keeps changing. Omens is a reaction to the state of the world,” explains vocalist D. Randall Blythe. "It’s a very pissed-off record.” He pauses for emphasis. “It is extremely pissed-off.”

The New Wave Of American Heavy Metal architects tracked Omens at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California, a location that birthed classics from The Doors, The Ramones, and Soundgarden, among others. "The inner workings of the band have never been better,” explains guitarist Mark Morton. “You can hear it in Omens. You can see it in our performances, and if you're around us for five minutes, you can feel it."

The Omens album pre-order is live now, boasting several exclusive items, including a signed colored vinyl variant, shirt, hoodie, and signed CDs with an alternate color cover. All physical CD and Vinyl releases will include a free access code to watch the livestream viewing of "The Making of Omens" documentary, which will premiere the week of album release.
