Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante join Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown in Pantera

Zakk Wylde and Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante will join Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown to tour North American and European festivals as Pantera next year, as well as some headline concerts, a source close to the band has told Billboard.

The estates of Vincent ‘Vinnie Paul’ Abbott and ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott have approved the lineup, and Rex Brown has apparently changed his view, as he said last year that Wylde would not tour with a reunited Pantera.

Wylde was close friends with Dimebag Darrell, who was murdered onstage in Columbus, Ohio, in 2004 and Vinnie Paul, who died in 2018 from heart disease health complications.
