METALLICA Adds 10 Schools To Their Scholars Initiative

Metallica has added 10 schools to their All Within My Hands (AWHH) Scholars Initiative for 2022. The initiative is a collaboration between AWHH and the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) to provide direct support for career and technical education programs across the United States.

“Our goal for the Metallica Scholars Initiative is to shine a light on workforce education and support the next generation of tradespeople,” said Peter Delgrosso, Executive Director of All Within My Hands. “With the addition of the 2022-2023 Metallica Scholars program, our grants will reach over 2,000 men and women in 32 community colleges across 27 states. We are honored to support these students of all ages and backgrounds and look forward to growing the program even farther in the future.”

The ten schools added this year are:

  1. Clark State Community College – Springfield, Ohio
  2. East Central College – Union, Missouri
  3. Guilford Technical Community College – Jamestown, North Carolina
  4. Hudson County Community College – Jersey City, New Jersey
  5. Middlesex Community College -Lowell, Massachusetts
  6. Milwaukee Area Technical College – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
  7. Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College – Perkinston, Mississippi
  8. Rockland Community College – Suffern, New York
  9. Salt Lake Community College – Salt Lake City, Utah
  10. San Juan College – Farmington, New Mexico

Those schools join a list of 22 community colleges that have been invited to continue as a Metallica Scholars schools. They are:

  1. Central Community College – Grand Island, Nebraska
  2. Central Piedmont Community College – Charlotte, North Carolina
  3. Clackamas Community College – Oregon City, Oregon
  4. Clinton Community College – Clinton, Iowa
  5. College of Lake County – Grayslake, Illinois
  6. Columbia Gorge Community College – The Dalles, Oregon
  7. Community College of Baltimore County – Baltimore, Maryland
  8. Elizabethtown Community and Technical College – Elizabethtown, Kentucky
  9. Gateway Technical College – Kenosha, Wisconsin
  10. Grand Rapids Community College – Grand Rapids, Michigan
  11. Lone Star College – Houston, Texas
  12. North Idaho College – Coeur d'Alene, Idaho
  13. Northern Virginia Community College – Annandale, Virginia
  14. Northwest-Shoals Community College – Muscle Shoals, Alabama
  15. Pima County Community College – Tucson, Arizona
  16. Polk State College – Winter Haven, Florida
  17. Spokane Community College – Spokane, Washington
  18. Valencia College – Orlando, Florida
  19. Victor Valley College – Victorville, California
  20. West Virginia University Parkersburg – Parkersburg, West Virginia
