Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine recently lashed out at the Judas Priest crew for starting sound-checking during their performance at Spain’s Barcelona Rock Fest on July 2.
This year’s Barcelona Rock Fest took place between June 30 and July 2 with the participation of many prominent artists and bands, including Alice Cooper, KISS, Judas Priest, and Megadeth. First launched in 2014, the festival has quickly established itself as one of Europe’s leading rock and metal music events, in which many notable names like Ozzy Osbourne, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, and Iron Maiden performed in previous years.
Following their European dates, Megadeth will continue touring the United States starting from August until mid-October. Five Finger Death Punch, The HU, and Fire From the Gods will also join Megadeth during the tour. The group is also getting ready to release their sixteenth studio album, ‘The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead,‘ on September 2, 2022.
During their recent performance at Barcelona Rock Fest, Dave Mustaine lost his temper when the Judas Priest crew started sound-checking while they were still performing. After Megadeth played the sixth song, ‘Trust,’ from their setlist, Priest’s crew began preparing the other main stage for their upcoming performance. However, Mustaine became distracted and stopped the show for a long time due to his annoyance with the preparations. The singer referred to the Priest team as ‘pathetic‘ and ‘amateur piece of sh*t.’ After a long break, Megadeth continued the gig by playing ‘Symphony Of Destruction.’
Here is how Dave Mustaine slammed the Judas Priest crew:
“We’ll wait till he’s done checking his guitar over there. The last night of the tour — we went all the way to the last f*cking night, and then some p*ssy over on the stage next to us has to start playing while we’re playing. How f*cking pathetic, amateur piece of sh*t you are.”
Then he continued:
“Can we proceed now? F*cking cunt. This is called ‘Symphony Of Destruction.’
