Whitesnake founder David Coverdale shared a post on the band’s Instagram to announce that they would not continue the tour due to medical issues within the group.

David Coverdale founded Whitesnake in 1978, and the band has undergone many lineup changes. Yet they managed to stay together for many years. Moreover, they had recently started the European leg of The Farewell Tour, set to continue with the US dates.

Though the band was getting ready for their final run together, all of the medical issues kicked off one member at a time. They had to cancel their performance at The Rock Imperium Festival and then shows in Milan, Vienna, and Zagreb.

Coverdale posted on Instagram that Whitesnake will no longer continue with the European Farewell Tour. He noted that health problems within the group made it difficult to perform. He also apologized and thanked all the amazing fans and everyone that worked so hard for the tour to happen.

The IG caption of Whitesnake is as follows:

“Breaking News!!! Official Announcement From Whitesnake!!!
