Having cancelled dates in Zagreb, Milan and Vienna earlier this week due to ongoing health issues within the band, Whitesnake have now announced that they are unable to continue their European Tour.
The farewell tour kicked off in the 3Arena, Dublin, on 10 May 2022, with the last date today in Croatia. The US leg is due to start in Hampton on 17 August.
With Reb Beach missing a number of dates through ill-health and Tommy Aldridge also suffering a setback, frontman David Coverdale was then placed on bed rest for five days under orders from his doctor.
Yesterday the annoucement was made that the tour could no longer continue.
“It is with the deepest sadness that I must announce that due to continuing health challenges, doctor’s orders, and our concern for everyone’s health and safety, Whitesnake is unable to continue its European Farewell Tour,” David Coverdale said.
“I extend my sincere apologies to All of Whitesnake’s Amazing Fans who have been looking forward to the remaining scheduled shows of this tour, All of our Amazing, Fabulous Snakes & tour personnel who have been working so hard to put on these shows, and All of the promoters and other professionals who have helped set up the tour.
“I Appreciate & Love You All!!!”
Just over one week ago, Steve Vai joined Whitesnake on stage at Hellfest to perform Still Of The Night.
