Alanis Morissette paid tribute to her former drummer Taylor Hawkins at London’s O2 Arena. Images of Hawkins were displayed on the screen while she was performing.
Taylor Hawkins played with many influential people before joining Foo Fighters, such as Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette. When he joined Foo Fighters, he not only played drums but also contributed vocals and lyrics for recordings.
The rocker was found unresponsive in a hotel room and was later declared dead in March. The toxicology report revealed the use of substances that could have caused drug-induced heart failure, but the family didn’t disclose the cause of death.
The band members took to the official Instagram page of Foo Fighters to announce ‘The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Tour,’ which will start this fall. Other rock stars who want to commemorate Hawkins will also accompany the tour. Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear, and Rami Jaffee are some of the names that will be there to honor Hawkins.
Recently, Alanis Morissette embarked on a European tour in honor of the 25th anniversary of her classic album ‘Jagged Little Pill.’ At the O2 Arena in London, Morissette dedicated the song ‘Ironic’ to her former drummer and Foo Fighters member Taylor Hawkins, who died in March at 50.
