Skid Row guitarist Dave ‘Snake’ Sabo stated that it had been 23 years since Sebastian Bach departed from the band. He added that the band tried to reunite with Bach, but it didn’t work out on The Loaded Radio Podcast.
There is no doubt that Skid Row has had its ups and downs during its music career. They disbanded when Bach parted ways with the band, but after much trouble hiring and firing members, they eventually formed Skid Row again. The original members, including Sabo and Rachel Bolan, are still part of the group.
They recently announced that original band members Rachel Bolan, Dave ‘Snake’ Sabo, and former member Sebastian Bach would talk about their experience during Skid Row’s golden years. Also, the band will discuss the situation with Bach in the episodes of ‘Skid Row: Breaking The Band.’
When asked about Skid Row’s attempt to reunite with Bach, Sabo replied that it was improbable and didn’t make them feel good when they tried it. Not only had a lot of time passed, but the current band was happy with how everything was. He added that they tried to get back together at some point, but their dialogue never crossed the point of texting. Sabo also said he is proud of where the band is today and is grateful to everyone and every situation that has brought them to this point.
Dave Sabo’s words on Skid Row’s attempt to reunite with Sebastian Bach:
“Well, it’s been 23 years since Skid Row, so saying I’m over it would be an understatement. We attempted a reunion slightly. We dipped our toes in the water and realized it didn’t feel so good. It’s just one of those things where we still could not see eye to eye; we couldn’t even get past the point of simple texting.
I am happy where we are. I’m very proud of our past, and all due credit to everybody involved in every aspect of our career, whoever that may be because it all led to where we are now.
I’ve been asked a thousand times: ‘What about the payday?’ And that’s all well and good, but if that’s why I did this, if that’s why we did this; I can speak for everybody; we probably wouldn’t be doing it. I want to be happy, and I am very, very happy. And so are the guys; everybody’s really happy.”
