Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong criticized the Supreme Court and the United States on stage at the London Stadium. The rocker promised to move to the UK and said he was renouncing his American citizenship.

With their successful career, the punk rock trio Green Day has become a familiar name over the years. The group has sold over 85 million records worldwide and won several Grammys, including Best Rock Album.

Fall Out Boy, Green Day, and Weezer have teamed up to do the ‘Hella Mega Tour,’ which was announced in 2019 and was scheduled to launch in 2020. However, the tour had to be postponed to 2021, when the pandemic started. The team even readjusted specific dates as band members contracted Covid several times.

A Green Day fan posted on Twitter a video of Billie Joe Armstrong slamming America and the Supreme Court ruling at the London ‘Hella Mega Tour.’ Armstong said he would renounce his American citizenship. He also added that he would move to London and not return to ‘a miserable country.’

Billie Joe Armstrong’s words on the Supreme Court’s ruling on Roe V. Wade:

“F*ck America. I’m f*cking renouncing my American citizenship. I’m f*cking coming here. There’s too much f*cking stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f*cking excuse for a country. Oh, I’m not kidding. You’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days.”
