Phil Anselmo and Gary Holt made a tribute to Motörhead and covered their iconic song ‘Ace of Spades’ on the BangerTV YouTube channel.
Lemmy Kilmister has an incredible legacy built up with his band Motörhead. With their impressive career, the band has become an idol for so many rock and metal acts. Thus, after Kilmister passed away, the entire metal world was in grief to have lost such a talented figure in the industry.
Motörhead’s only constant member was Kilmister, who took care of the band as no other musician would. The albums titled ‘Overkill,’ ‘Bomber,’ and ‘Ace of Spades‘ made the band a top-tier rock act and rose them to prominence. Containing many subgenres of rock and metal, their variety of sounds also turned the band into an inspiration.
Even after Lemmy Kilmister passed away in 2015, the rock and metal world continued to reminisce him with tributes and covers. Recently, Pantera’s Phil Anselmo and Exodus’ Gary Holt performed Motörhead’s well-known song ‘Ace of Spades’ on the BangerTV YouTube channel and reminded the fans of this unforgettable legacy.
This cover includes Stoner’s Nick Oliveri, Beasto Blanco, Alice Cooper’s bassist Chuck Garric, Intronaut’s Sacha Dunable, and many other metal musicians that wanted to contribute to the tribute. The musicians performed with their entire energy on the instruments and vocals, delighting their and Kilmister’s fans.
The fans on the comment section were thrilled to hear Anselmo singing Motörhead and demanded him to make a whole cover album. Even though some people stated that they don’t like the covers of iconic songs, they admitted that this is a banger and that Kilmister would be happy. Although many musicians took place, Anselmo got most of the credit for his incredible vocal performance.
