After sparing weeks to be present in court for his defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp is back on the stage, and Jeff Beck recently announced his new album with him.
Johnny Depp is not a stranger to the music world as he had previously worked with Alice Cooper and Joe Perry to form Hollywood Vampires. The band was formed in 2012 and has released two albums so far. Their latest album, ‘Rise,’ was released in 2019, but Johnny Depp has been busy with legal issues regarding his ex-wife Amber Heard.
He wasn’t very active with music and the band as recently he went on trial every day in Virginia for weeks to seek justice against the defaming allegations made by Heard. The trial resulted in favor of Depp, and Heard was found guilty of defamation charges against her ex-husband.
While the jury was deliberating and deciding on the trial results, Johnny Depp decided to wait for it far from the courtroom and on the stage with Jeff Beck. It had been a while since they performed together, and Depp surprised the fans by taking the stage with Beck in Sheffield, England.
The duo had collaborated before releasing ‘Isolation’ in 2020, and after the good news for Depp came from the courtroom, Beck expressed his happiness to see justice served and truth revealed for his friend.
They recently announced another excellent news by stating that their collaboration will last and they will release an album together soon. The announcement came during the duo’s last appearance on stage on June 2, and Beck told the audience that the album would come out in July.
As reported by the Guardian, Beck said on stage:
“I met this guy five years ago, and we’ve never stopped laughing since. We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July.”
