Former Iron Maiden singer Paul Di’Anno recently joined The Metal Voice for an interview and stated he is on good terms with Iron Maiden.

Paul Di’Anno became Iron Maiden’s lead singer in 1997, following the departure of Dennis Wilcock. However, due to heavy substance abuse, Di’Anno was not eager to perform with the band. So, Maiden decided to progress and recruited Bruce Dickinson.

Di’Anno’s last show with Iron Maiden took place on September 10, 1981. Since then, he has joined the band on stage a couple of times. On May 22, Di’Anno came across Maiden bassist Steve Harris for the first time in 30 years before the band’s show in Croatia.

Maiden is currently on the road for the 2022 leg of their ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ tour, and their first show was at the Arena Zagreb. Harris came before the show and chatted with Di’Anno, who was in a wheelchair due to a knee issue.

The rocker also had a chance to watch Maiden for some time before leaving. Speaking to The Metal Voice, the singer stated that he has no issue with Iron Maiden despite the rumors claiming they don’t like each other. He then described the show at Arena Zagreb as outstanding.

During the conversation, Paul Di’Anno said the following:

“What annoys me is that everyone’s spreading rumors around that we don’t like each other and stuff like that. I ain’t got nothing against Iron Maiden at all. I tell you, the show was brilliant on Sunday, absolutely amazing.”
