During a recent conversation with Ultimate Classic Rock, Journey guitarist Neal Schon revealed that they had plans to tour with Def Leppard in the following years.
Journey replaced Billy Idol and hit the road with Toto for a tour from February 22 to May 11, 2022. Journey and Toto were excited to perform together as much as the fans. In a previous interview, Journey drummer Deen Castronovo talked about his admiration for Toto.
He mentioned that the Toto members were excellent during the tour. The drummer also expressed how he was content to spend time with the band members in this process. Recently, Journey’s Neal Schon came with the news that would excite the fans regarding their touring schedule once again.
The guitarist revealed that they were talking about hitting the road with Def Leppard again four years after touring North America together. As Schon stated, the two bands most likely would perform together in 2024. The rocker also mentioned that he would celebrate being on stage for over 50 years.
Neal Schon revealed:
“We’re already talking about going back out with Def Leppard, and that’s looking pretty solid that we’ll go into stadiums in ’24. So from here out, I’m going to be celebrating 50 years plus.”
The fans have been excitedly waiting for Journey’s upcoming album ‘Freedom,’ which will come out on July 8, 2022. Neal Schon gave the news of a possible tour with Def Leppard, which will double their excitement. The audience who enjoyed watching them together in 2018 is happy to have a chance to experience the same feeling again in 2024.
