On their official Twitter account, Stone Temple Pilots recently announced that they had to cancel the upcoming shows with Halestorm because of the COVID-19 case in the tour team. The band expressed their sadness because of this sudden cancellation.
Stone Temple Pilots released the first single, ‘Fare Thee Well,’ in 2019 from the upcoming album entitled ‘Perdida.’ Later on, the album came out as the band’s eighth studio album on February 7, 2020, which received many positive reviews from the critics.
After Halestorm’s fifth studio album ‘Back From the Dead’ was released on May 6, 2022, the band hit the road for a tour. Halestorm announced that the tour would include many impactful names like Wolf Van Halen’s Mammoth WVH, Black Stone Cherry, and The Pretty Reckless. Stone Temple Pilots was one of them who would be on tour with Halestorm.
While the tour continued, sad news came from Stone Temple Pilots, as they recently shared on Twitter. The band stated that because a tour team member had COVID-19, they had to cancel the upcoming shows with Halestorm. The group expressed their sadness about the sudden cancellation of the shows.
They also informed the fans that Halestorm and Black Stone Cherry would perform according to the program. The band thanked all fans who came to see them and Halestorm. They also added that they would go to the places they could not as soon as possible.
Stone Temple Pilots wrote:
“During routine COVID-19 testing, we have discovered that a member of our touring party has tested positive. Out of an abundance of caution, we must regretfully cancel the remaining shows on our tour with Halestorm. The five dates are Evansville, Tulsa, Deadwood, Moorhead, and Missoula. Halestorm and Black Stone Cherry will still be performing as scheduled.
Thank you to everybody who has come out to see a show, and an extra special thank you to Halestorm. We’ll be back out there as soon as we can.”
