Evanescence recently announced the departure of their guitarist Jen Majura on their Twitter account and revealed that they would tell the name of her replacement next week.
Since the band’s formation in 1995, Evanescence’s lineup has changed many times throughout their career. Moreover, their fans are convinced that they will never stop changing since they don’t have a stable lineup except for the presence of Amy Lee, their iconic vocalist.
They have been on a hiatus from 2007 to 2009 and again from 2012 to 2015 but still released five studio albums, the most recent being ‘The Bitter Truth‘ in 2021. They released the record after the pandemic and will support it with a world tour starting in June.
However, they recently announced the departure of their beloved guitarist Jen Majura who had joined the band in 2015. Because the band was famous for constantly hiring new people, their fans were not entirely shocked upon hearing Jen Majura left.
They announced it on their Twitter account by stating that it was a memorable chapter with her. Although she left, they will always support her and look forward to seeing her future work. Evanescence also revealed that their announcement about who will replace her would come next week.
The band’s tweet follows:
“It has been a very special chapter in the band with our dear friend Jen Majura, but we have decided it’s time to go our separate ways. We will always love her and support her and can’t wait to see what she does next!
We are so grateful for the good times and great music we made all around the world together. We are hard at work rehearsing for our upcoming tour and will have some exciting news about the new lineup coming in the next few days, so stay tuned.”
