Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale talked about being the first female Gibson ambassador in a recent conversation with Guitar World. The rocker stated that it was an exciting experience to be a guide for the upcoming female generations.

Because the rock scene has been considered a male-oriented industry, many female musicians have wanted to change this idea. Numerous successful women like Janis Joplin, Nancy Wilson, and Joan Jett proved their success in rock music and became an inspiration for young female musicians.

As one of them influenced by these women, Lzzy Hale gained much recognition in the rock scene. She wanted to be an inspiration for young female musicians not to give up their dreams. According to Hale, they should chase after what they want to create.

The frontwoman also became the first female ambassador of Gibson, as she announced in 2021. She mentioned that it was an honor for her to be the first female ambassador to represent her music by participating in this organization.

During a recent conversation, Hale detailed that being the first female ambassador of Gibson was an exciting experience because she automatically became the first woman who opened the gate for the upcoming female musicians. She stated that this organization’s most exciting part was to be an inspiration for the young girls. The frontwoman indicated that the young girls could get motivation from Hale and not feel alone.

Lzzy Hale explained in her words:

“It’s interesting being the first female ambassador doing it because I feel like every time I get one of those titles, the first this or that, you’re the first through the door, and you’re a placeholder for whoever comes after you. You get to help normalize that as a female.

The most beautiful thing about what I do now with Gibson is that you get to put yourself up there in a way that. For the generation of young girls that want to get into this instrument, it makes the bridge to that dream just a little bit shorter.

Just like when I was younger and saw Joan Jett playing guitar, or Lita Ford or Nancy Wilson. It’s important for young girls to see themselves in somebody like me instead of thinking that they’re all by themselves, trying to make the dream happen.”

Female musicians in the rock scene have been trying to lead the way for the young girls who wanted to be a part of the rock scene. As one of these women, Lzzy Hale has become an inspiration for the upcoming generation with her success and proved to them that they have the power to achieve their dreams in what they want to create.
