Black Label Society recently posted a statement on their Facebook page to announce the postponement of their shows because Zakk Wylde has lost his voice.
Black Label Society recently got on the road to tour across America along with guest artists Nita Strauss, Black Stone Cherry, and Jared James Nichols. The tour is in support of their eleventh studio album titled ‘Doom Crew Inc.,’ which was released on November 26, 2021.
However, the band was forced to postpone some of their shows as Zakk Wylde had lost his voice. In a Facebook post to announce the news, they stated that they are rescheduling their show from May 10 to May 23, and Nita Strauss and Jared James Nichols would give a free performance that day.
In the following post, Black Label Society made another postponement announcement as Zakk Wylde’s issue with his voice is still present. They stated that the show in Raleigh, NC, will be rescheduled for August 30. Sadly, Wylde still didn’t recover, so they continued postponing the following shows.
In their latest Facebook post, Black Label Society revealed Wylde would take a few extra days off to recover. They then stated that the shows in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at JJ’s Live & Tyler, and in Texas at Country River Club would be rescheduled to September 2 and 3.
Black Label Society’s Facebook post read:
“It’s with great regret that Zakk Wylde has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight’s show. We are rescheduling this show to Monday, May 23.
Hold onto your tickets — Black Label Society will do this show for you on Monday, May 23. Same venue, same show times. For tonight, the show is a free performance by Nita Strauss and Jared James Nichols.”
The band’s most recent announcement is as follows:
“Due to continuing throat & vocal issues, Zakk Wylde will take a few extra days off before he’s able to perform healthily and without risk.
As a result, both Fayetteville, AR @ JJ’s Live & Tyler, TX @ Country River Club will be rescheduled to September 2 and 3, respectively. Fayetteville, AR @ JJ’s Live on Friday, September 2 & Tyler, TX @ Country River Club on Saturday, September 3.”
Black Label Society plans to tour with Anthrax this summer for a 24-date North American tour. This tour will kick off on July 26 at Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona, and conclude on August 28, at the Fillmore in Philadelphia, with Hatebreed as a special guest.
