Foo Fighters recently announced their upcoming concerts following the band’s drummer Taylor Hawkins’ sudden and untimely death on their official Instagram account. They reflected their ideas and feelings about this terrible loss again through the statement.
Before one of the band’s concerts in South America as a part of their ongoing tour, the band members and their fans got devastated because of a tragic loss. Their drummer and great friend Taylor Hawkins passed away on March 25, 2022, in Bogota, Colombia, and Foo Fighters revealed it with a heartbreaking message on social media. They didn’t want to give any details about the cause of the musician’s death, but some news was leaked.
It’s reported that Hawkins called the hotel staff due to his chest pain, and they asked medics to come for the drummer. However, when they arrived at his hotel room, he was unresponsive and declared dead. According to Colombian journalist Luis Carlos Velez, a police officer saw cocaine-like white powder in the room. Then the toxicology test unveiled ten types of substances in Hawkins’ body, most of which are still unclear.
Moreover, Foo Fighters announced in their recent IG post that they decided to cancel the remaining dates of their tour by showing Hawkins’ death as the reason behind that. They emphasized that they needed time to mourn and heal after this tragic incident, so the band members had to make this decision, although they never wanted to disappoint their fans. Also, the band didn’t give any information about their appearance at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony.
