Melbourne-based death-metal heavyweights Hadal Maw have issued a music video for "Future Eaters", a song from the band's most recent EP Oblique Order, which was released last December via Blighttown Records. Directed by Nick Rackham and Ian Ritter, the clip can be seen below.
Speaking about "Future Eaters", Hadal Maw commented, "We consume like there’s no tomorrow, believing our feast is infinite. We are in danger of eating our future, while naively passing blame or offering prayer and faith instead of action. We are the snake eating itself, time to sever the head!"
The new effort follows-up the band’s 2018 EP Charlatan and presents four tracks of uncompromising and confronting aural violence whilst also introducing new members Liam Weedall (Dyssidia) and Jarrod Sorbian (Départe).
Musically, the four track EP delves further into the more visceral aspect of their sound and composition while maintaining the technical wizardry that the band established on previous releases. The title track features guest vocals from three of Australia’s most accomplished vocalists: Karina Utomo (High Tension), Luke Frizon (Growth) and Antony Oliver (Descent).
