Skid Row has replaced singer ZP Theart with former H.E.A.T. vocalist Erik Grönwall who will debut with the band on their new album The Gang’s All Here, due 14 October 2022 via earMusic. The albums first single, the title track, is due for release tomorrow.
“It’s a new era for Skid Row,” the band said in a statement. “With a new album, a new single and a world tour, we’ve added a new voice. Welcome powerhouse vocalist Erik Grönwall, formerly from the band H.E.A.T. from Sweden.”
“Ladies and gents,” Grönwall said on social media. “I hereby declare the circle of all fucking circles complete. You’re looking at the new singer of @officialskidrow #skidrow #erikgronwall.”
Grönwall released a version of 18 And Life last year on YouTube. “This song was basically the starting point of my professional career as an artist,” he said. “I performed this song during my Swedish Idol audition back in 2009. Twelve years later, it’s time to give this bad boy a try again. Here’s my version of the Skid Row song 18 and life.”
Skid Row are due to play on the Scorpions Sin City Nights Las Vegas residency commencing this weekend.
