Professional opera singer and vocal coach Elizabeth Zharoff, who also hosts the YouTube channel, The Charismatic Voice, has slowly but surely been drawn into the rock and metal world over the last year. In the clip below she shares her reaction and analysis of Meat Loaf's hit "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)"
Elizabeth: "I am so used to seeing Meat Loaf in films that his performance in 'Kickapoo' (Tenacious D) and this song did not surprise me one bit. Directed by Michael Bay, this seven minute dive into a Beauty and the Beast-esque or Phantom of the Opera type romance was pretty spectactular, and from what I read, ran way over budget. In the end, I feel it was totally worth it!"
Elizabeth has previously reacted to and analyzed Devin Townsend, Dream Theater, Metallica, Rush, Tenacious D, Sabaton, Ayreon, and Myles Kennedy. Watch for more, coming soon.
Meat Loaf (real name Marvin Lee Aday), passed away at the age of 74 on January 20. Jim Steinman, the composer, lyricist and record producer who worked with Meat Loaf, passed away on April 19, 2021.
