The devastating Russian invasion of Ukraine has sparked a humanitarian crisis. Marina Ammouri, a Ukraine native vocalist and pianist, living in Stockholm, Sweden, has reached out to the Heavy Metal community to form a musical project to show support for the people of Ukraine.
United Musicians For Ukraine (UMFU) features musicians with connections to bands such as Rainbow, Europe, HammerFall, Soilwork, King Diamond, Therion, Eclipse and Yngwie Malmsteen. They have united to to record a Metal version of the John Lennon classic Imagine.
An emotional and captivating version of the song, MetalTalk hopes that it will inspire people to share and show support for the people of Ukraine as the war enters its 28th day.
