Cradle of Filth on Monday (March 21) unleashed a vivid and bloodcurdling music video for their Existence Is Futile cut "How Many Tears to Nurture a Rose?"
Starring a corpse-painted Dani Filth, the macabre clip flashes between shots of the English extreme metal bandleader and shadowy scenes in a forest where a gruesome and devilish creature holds court. Probably best not to watch in front of the kids.
Cradle of Filth said the video tells a haunting tale. "Sinister, alluring and deadly" is how they described it on their website before adding, "But he that dares not grasp the thorn, should never crave the rose…"
Filth said, "This is yet another great video by director Vicente Cordero, encapsulating the occult essence of the song's lyricism with great sweeping colorful strokes of total batshit-craziness. It really makes for frightening, yet strangely compelling viewing."
Existence Is Futile, Cradle of Filth's 13th studio album, emerged in October 2021. It contains the singles "Crawling King Chaos" and "Necromantic Fantasies."
Cradle of Filth come to the United States for a spring tour with Danzig this May. Learn more by clicking here and find tickets at this link.
