The Rolling Stones recently announced that they will be celebrating their 60th year of being a band with a small European tour. The rock legends shared the thrilling news via an Instagram post on their official account.
The Rolling Stones has been in the rock and roll scene for six decades now and have rooted their music, names, and style in the world. They are one of the oldest rock and roll bands to still be performing, and their shows lost no magic. Their songs and Mick Jagger’s stage moves aren’t any different and still grab the attention of their fans.
Moreover, they have sold over 240 million albums worldwide, making their creation influential for those artists that came after them. Although the band had feuds, disagreements, and even attempts at establishing a solo career, they always returned to each other.
Their drummer Charlie Watts passed away in summer 2021, and the band was in mourning. However, they still continued to perform despite the discouraging response from social media users. Many people stated that they should have retired after Watts passed away, but the band had gotten his blessing to continue performing.
They replaced Watts with Steve Jordan, who had already stepped in when Watts was ill and not able to perform. They finished the ‘No Filter Tour’ with Jordan, which had started off with Watts. Now, the band is getting ready for their 60th-anniversary tour in Europe starting from June 2022, as they announced with a post on their Instagram account.
The announcement via an IG post follows:

Stones presale starts tomorrow at 10 am local time – if you registered for the presale check your inbox & junk folders for your code coming through today. If you’re already on the mailing list you’ll be sent a code automatically.
Tickets go on general sale this Friday, 18 March (times vary per country) from rollingstones.com/tour.”
Despite the discouragements from fans, the death of a bandmate, and their turmoils within the band, their tongue-out symbol will continue to reminisce everyone of The Rolling Stones legend and make them have a permanent place in the world even after they would stop performing.
