Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello has released an original song, named ‘Machinery of Torment,’ from the upcoming Netflix comedy, ‘Metal Lords.’

Guitarist Tom Morello is best known for his tenures in both Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave in his long-term music career spanning over four decades now. In recent years, he has also focused on his solo works. Besides his musical activities, Morello also appeared in several documentary films like ‘Sounds Like a Revolution’ and ‘Iron Maiden: Flight 666.’

He appeared in various films, not just as an actor, but he also contributed to the soundtracks of many TV Series, video games, and documentaries. As Netflix recently announced, their upcoming comedy, ‘Metal Lords,’ featuring Tom Morello as the executive music producer, will premiere on April 8. It was written by ‘Games of Thrones’ writer D.B. Weiss and produced by ‘Game of Thrones’ producer David Benioff.

The film mainly tells the story of two high-schoolers who start a metal band. Then, these two high-schoolers recruit a girl to be their bassist for the upcoming music competition, ‘Battle of the Bands’, and they turn into a three-piece metal band. Tom Morello recently released the first original metal track, named ‘Machinery of Torment,’ from the film. It was written by Morello, D.B. Weiss, and Carl Restivo and is performed by the fictional band ‘Skullflower’ within the film.
