Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton shared a post on his official Twitter account, revealing that he was blocked after having a political disagreement with Lee Carter. His former bandmate Chris Adler stated that Morton might have been blocked because he is a douchebag, and Morton replied with a sarcastic comeback.
The world is currently going through a historical event, often referred to as the beginning of World War III, after Russia invaded Ukraine. It has been two weeks since the first attack was launched in Ukraine, targeting civilians. European countries stated that they stand with Ukraine, and the U.S. threatened Russia with sanctions.
Because everybody started sharing their opinions about the war via social media posts, it’s almost inevitable to see people supporting Russia or making controversial statements in a compassionate situation. As a result, these circumstances have sparked other arguments, such as racism in the United States.
In a tweet, Mark Morton recently pointed out that there are racist people in the United States and targeted the American politician who represented the 50th district in the Virginia House of Delegates, Lee Carter. The politician then blocked him, so he shared a post on Twitter, asking why.
His former band member Chris Adler replied to him, stating that he was blocked because he is a ‘douche.’ Morton later quoted Adler’s tweet and made a sarcastic remark about how his tweet seems like a drunk text to an ex-girlfriend. These tweets made the fans laugh and felt like playful humor rather than a serious tension.
Morton shared Lee blocking him and stated:
“But why?”
In the now-deleted tweet, Adler replied:
“Maybe because you are a f*cking douche.”
Morton quoted the tweet and stated:
“I usually wait until after dark to drunk message my exes.”
Chris Adler was coming and going between performances with Lamb of God and Megadeth. His schedule had been busy with two bands throughout his career, but the musician left Megadeth in 2016 and Lamb of God in 2019. In June 2022, he revealed his new project with James LoMenzo, hinting that he is not quitting the music scene despite leaving both of his bands.
